September flew by and we're already welcoming October and snow!

Oct. 18: No school for students in the afternoon

Oct. 31: Halloween Party and Parade
Curriculum to covered:
French: We will be learning the sounds l, v, n, r, e, f, b, s. We will also practice following simple directions in french and classroom routines. We will continue to practice using vocabulary of classroom items and colours. Animal and fall vocabulary will be introduced.
Math: We will be working on recognizing, building and naming numbers to 20 and sorting. We will continue to practice numbers to 10.
Science: We will continue our unit on colours.
Social: We will practice skills to work in a group.
If you signed up to bring a snack for our Halloween Party, you will receive a reminder email approximately a week prior to the party.
Home Reading will start the first week of October. To start, in-class made booklets will be sent home with your child to practice their reading skills. It is important to read each booklet at least 3 times before sending it back. Have your child focus on words that repeat on each page as these are sight words we are currently practicing. Please read the letter included with your child's Home Reading duotang for more information. Thank you for your help in making our Home Reading Program a success!
